Jake is a graduate of the University of Utah, earning a Bachelors of Science in sociology and a Criminology Certificate. He is an alumnus of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Jake found his passion for the game while attending the University of Utah and has never looked back. Upon completing the PGA Professionals Golf Management program, Jake received full membership into the PGA of America in 2007. He also earned PGA Certified credentials in Retail Management and Golf Operations in 2009. Jake is also a member of the United States Golf Teachers Federation.

As an avid golfer and enthusiastic teacher, Jake looks forward to working with students on their swings and hearing stories about their first hole-in-one or when they broke 100 for the first time.

"My teaching philosophy is simple," says Jake. "Golf is a fun game and I am a proponent of helping a student leave the teaching tee playing better than when they arrived. To have the fewest moving parts in a golf swing is the key to building a successful repetitive swing. The golf swing begins with the grip and setup. I believe the core fundamentals of the golf swing such as the grip, aim, posture and balance are key concepts that will be addressed during each golf lesson."
