21st annual Golf Tournament
hosted by
Mountain America Credit Union

For several years, Primary Children's Hospital had been the beneficiary of generous support given by Mountain America Credit Union and its members. However, the executives at Mountain America had the feeling that they could do more. That's when they decided to up the ante…with a little help from their friends.

Established in 2004, the Swing for the Kids Challenge began as an opportunity for credit unions and the industries that serve them to share ideas about the credit union movement while raising funds for Primary Children's Hospital and the Credit Unions for Kids Program.

"Mountain America Credit Union is committed to supporting the causes that are important to our members—and the needs of families and caring for children are at the top of our priority list," said Sharon Cook, SVP/Chief Marketing Officer for Mountain America.

At that first event, nearly $110,000 was raised to further the hospital's mission of providing specialized medical care to children in an environment of love and concern.

"The contribution generated by this golf tournament was unprecedented!" exclaimed Joseph Horton, former Chief Executive Officer of Primary Children's Hospital. "We are most grateful for this contribution and what it means in the lives of children and their families."

Since that inaugural year, both the national and local economies have been through some tough times, but the Swing for the Kids Challenge has managed to keep up the brisk pace, with its sponsors bringing the cumulative total to over $2 million.

This year, you have the chance to help us up the ante even more by becoming a sponsor. As Primary Children's Hospital says, it's "The Child First and Always."
