Sterling W. Nielsen was named president/CEO of Mountain America Credit Union in October 2008. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president/chief administrative officer for the credit union and has been at Mountain America since 1995.
Mr. Nielsen earned bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University and is a certified public accountant. Additionally, he is active in volunteer and community service. He and his wife, Stephanie, have five children.
Prior to joining the credit union, Nathan worked in the consumer products industry for Black & Decker and Newell Rubbermaid.
He currently serves as a board or advisory member for Regence Blue Cross, CU Direct, South Valley Chamber, Economic Development Corporation of Utah and LPL Financial.
Nathan and his wife have four children and love spending time together. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys traveling with his family.
